Emily Painter is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. She earned her Master’s degree from Virginia Tech and began her career in community- based counseling, working with children, families, and adults. Her path led to outpatient work, where she continues to serve adolescents and adults. Emily is a trauma-informed therapist who takes an integrative and person- centered approach to care. She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy, while also incorporating CBT, narrative, mindfulness, and health-focused strategies. Emily is an insight- oriented, strengths-based clinician who believes in partnering with her clients to uncover their inner wisdom and resilience. Whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, bereavement, life transitions, relationship challenges, adjustments and transitions, or have a desire for deeper self-understanding, Emily offers a supportive and collaborative space for growth. In her free time, Emily enjoys cycling, hiking with her beloved dog, photography, reading, and learning about health through books and podcasts.
